If I want to clear up my laptop of uneeded junk with out deleting everything or maybe I should burn some stuff so my laptop can run somewhat smooth w/o 47 processes and crap running...what should I do?

Depends on what you want to do. If your laptop has a burner you can simply burn data discs of basically any type of file and have it to access later. there is also a command that will eliminate idle system processes that you can enter occasionally to kill what you dont need.
Start -> run -> and then copy and paste this in the box and hit ok.....
Go into system tools ... do a disk clean up and then a defrag...
Then ...
start button ... then run ....
type .... msconfig ..... this will bring up a box ....
go to the start tab ..... here you can choose what programs you want to start when you start your computer .... be careful you don't un check some thing you need ...
doing this one at a time ... if you mess up ... you can add it back as needed ...
also run your spy ware and virus stuff ... get rid of the crap ...
most importantly .... see Woody, Sparky or Kat .... the Guru's on this stuff
before you start ... make a new restore point .... just in case you have to fall back on it ..
If it's just media you want to keep i would burn it all or by an external HD and then do a clean install. You can store 4 GB of data on a dvd and stick it back on when done installing.

Depending on how long since your last reload..... if it has been a year (or more) I would highly recommend backing up the stuff you want to keep like music and pics and then just dump it and start over fresh.....
Less than 6 months.... and virus free..... uninstall any programs you don't want. Dump files you don't use. Then do basic maintanence (clean up temps, run CCleaner, stop idle processes and defrag). Should hold you over until the next reload......

If you have problems with your laptop, you can always use your TV for playing. You can find a review about TVs for playing on this source and understand if you are able to play with your TV. Anyway, you will get recommendations about your future TV purchases.

It can really help if you will erase your files on your laptop. It is not so convenient, I realize it, but it can really work. I had the same issue when I was playing games and I wanted to stream what I played. It was so difficult for my computer and then I decided to erase all the files. I've done that and then created an account on twitch, have bought some viewers here and now I have already 200000 followers! Amazing.
