Father and son arrested as missing teen found safe
(1/25/06 - KTRK/LEAGUE CITY, TX) - An Amber Alert that was issued for a missing League City teen has been cancelled after the girl was found in Clear Lake.
The 15-year-old girl was last seen went she went to bed around 10pm Tuesday night. Her mother called police Wednesday morning when she discovered her daughter was missing. The mother also found a message saying 'come meet me' on the girl's computer.
The teen was found at a Clear Lake home Wednesday afternoon with three adults. A 26-year-old man and his 49-year-old father have been taken into police custody. There's no word yet on what charges they may face.
Police now say the girl may have been a victim of sexual asssault. She was taken to an area hospital to be checked out.
"The family's obviously stressed," said League City Police Sgt. Don Krieger. "They're very happy to have her back safe. They just want to see that she gets the care and counseling that she needs."
__this sotry has been going on most of today. the mother had a "gut feeling " to check the computer after she called the police and was making the report. She called the cops number and reported the message after the ffact. FBI and leage city police tracked them from there along with other things.....keep your kids safe.
