What happened to all the $$ that was in the fund, now it says that we need $4.05 to pay next months bill. Where did all the money go that Merk911 contributed? Do we have a right to review the accounting practices of “The Other Place”? I was gonna contribute some money, but if Photo is just using it to wax her beaver, then no, I ain’t payin for that!

Ok to clear some things up....  With the plan currently selected you are limited to 50000 views per month as you can see, we were way over the amount of views for the month. So therefore since this site was 50,000 views over we were charged .50 per thousand views of base level.

Gold Active Board prices are based are based on the number of times your forum is viewed each month. Your monthly fee includes a fixed number of page views (ie 10,000 views for $4.95/mo). If your forum generates more traffic than the amount of your plan, you will be assessed the difference between the actual views and the amount of your plan based on the overage fee (ie $0.50 per thousand extra views at the base level).


 


Also, to let you know we are actively looking to find a better host board and may purchase a license thru vbulletin which is like o.com forums. I am also planning to either cancel the gold option or upgrade the plan again. With contributions to the site, I can't do anything with the money donated.  Sometimes I am not even told who donated and the amount.  Hope this answers your question.

I was considering Vbulletin also...at these prices...it would go MUCH better.


I host my commercial site at webintellects.com  ....there are some VERY good alternatives...my plant is the $18.95 a month and I have not yet been charged for bandwidth.  I think they have plans as low as $10/month. ...Making hosting and the price and features of VBn much more attractive

This sucks with all the posts we are doing it is costing those of you who paid more money out of the pocket. Well when and if I get hired by either of those jobs I applied for. I will donate some money to either here or the new board.

Yeah that sucks. I would donate, but I give to charities and a few other online causes. Plus my memberships to Gang Investgators Associations, IMBPA, and NAACP, quite frankly helping pay for a forum that won't even give me access to every area is pretty far down the list. Good luck, though. I'll give when/if I can.
