My home state of Georgia passed a bill through the senate that would allow the IRS and DoR to go after employers who hire the work of illegal immigrants.
What's not in the article is one Senator's response to the over 100 protesters that flooded the state capital that are in this country illegaly: (I don't have the exact quote) They are here today because they aren't worried about what will happen to them as illegals. They are here because they are worried about what will happen to them tomorrow as illegals.
I totally agree. The hispanic community thinks will "unbalance" the economy in Georgia- yeah, out of their favor.
We're all immigrants in this country. That's not the issue. What I have problems with is people coming into this country illegaly with impunity as they proceed to suckle the teat of the taxpaying citizens without paying any income tax themselves. Not to mention how they leech off healthcare and other government-sponsered services.
