Hell no, a woman should never be allowed that position of power! Women are too sentimental to deal with the hard, cold facts. Too many times women have allowed their "nuturing side" to bite them in the ass when they really should be kicking some ass! Women are also too "moody" for the job and would allow way too many personal opinions to interfere with proper decision making. While i do believe women are far "craftier" than any man could ever be, men are much better suited for the "tactical" decisions that often need to be made. Women would be too concerned with the "one" that might get injured instead of the thousands that could suffer if we, as a country, did nothing. I'm not saying men don't have emotions, but they don't let it cloud their judgement when push comes to shove!

Oh hell no! What if some femi-natzi's with an agenda offed the President? She would be next in line....no way! There are just too many "typical" women in this world to allow a woman to be put into either of those positions without screwing up the country!

Well said! I believe there are things that each sex is better at by "design". A woman (like Hillary) would surely have us in a war that we would loose! The Presidentcy is definately "a man's world" and not a place for a woman!

I think it DEPENDS alot on the person, not just a gender. I have seen some screw ball women, and screwball men.

I think it totally goes back to if they are able to separate person and professional, deal with the hot seat and pass the mustard.

(hell.......most women understand what NEEDS tobe done, and what HAS to be done ....and then multi task. jsut dont let her be preggers when prez,,,,that would REALLY screw some diplomates up)

I've thought the same thing!

1. If a woman was president, we would be even more of a laughing stock than we already are with Bush.

2. Women are too emotional to "rule" using a logical/tactical practices. There is no way a woman could be 100% without emotional consequense.....I believe men are better suited for the concept. I'm not saying men are without emotion by any means, but the level they apply it is far different from a woman!

3. Most women are "anti-war" and there is a time to be diplomatic and a time to kick some serious ass. I think a woman would be far to hesitant to go to war and kick some butt when needed?!

4. The likelyhood of a femi-natzi getting that position is greater than 65%! The last thing this country needs is a femi-natzi at the wheel!

Ok I have been pondering this for awhile and I guess its time for me to throw my 2 cents in. I have no problem with a women being president. I personally feel women can do anything a man can do. There are women that are CEO's of major corporations. There are women high up in the military. Who says a women cant be president.

IMHO it wouldn't be practical for a woman to be President at this time or in the near future.

Hillary seems to be the front- runner and that scares me.

I agree that Hillary would not be a great choice for president, but that shouldnt exclude all women. I think there are women out there who do a great job. Women have a different outlook on things and they may be able to change things that would better the american way of life.

A better way of American way of life. I think that's the key.

I think only I can do things to accomplish a "better way of life" for me. It's not up to the government to provide a better way of life.

Without trying to stereotype women tend to nurture. IMHO we've been nurturing too many people for too long.

Someone mentioned Condolezza Rice as a potential candidate. From what I've read she's too smart to run for President, but I would vote for her.

If they elect Hillary. The US will become one big riot. We have come a long way, but not that far. We are talking 200+ years of tradition. It may not be tradition, but a lot of people see it that way. Perasonally I think anyone is better than Bush, but some better than others. hillary is not one of them.
