This has been my pet peeve for time out of mind. How hard is it to put your phone on vibrate while you're in a restaraunt? What's the point of paying 20 bucks for lunch so you can sit in the middle of a room of ringing phones?
The latest thing is old people who have inhumanly loud rings. I understand that if you're past a certain age your hearing may not be great and you may appreciate an especially loud ring. But if your phone rings and everyone in the room freezes with their mouths open, YOUR RING IS TOO LOUD. Again, there is a vibrate feature. Even the severely hearing-impaired can feel a vibration.
Worst of all is people who choose lunch/dinner time to play with new phone rings they've downloaded. I have twice sat next to couples where one is helping the other get their large variety of phone rings working. Of course they have to listen to each one and decide which they like best. We ALL have to listen, but none of the rest of us gets a vote.
What ever happened to basic consideration for others? I'm seriously trying to eat out less, because it's just not relaxing any more..

Phones should be turned off in restaurants out of respect for others I think, I always turn mine off, having a meal is something to be enjoyed not disturbed.

What good is a pager if you don't have a phone to call on. I can understand a fire department or a mass group to get called out but seriously.
Even more whenever I know I will be talking to someone for a long time and I am in there house, I will put it on silent.

Last time I checked a pager makes noise to. Maybe its not AS annoying but still.
And no I am not trying to start trouble, USofA took my account over and is trying to get me into trouble.

Usually people I'm with don't even hear my pager go off. Maybe it depends which brand.
The thing about starting trouble was for US.

Hey Entre New, I went out to get a bite to eat at a local restaurant and my phone goes off in full restaurant. I just laughed when I figured out it was mine.
