I have been looking at glass mixing bowls for about a week. Its really the only thing I need for the kitchen.


I found these and I think its a good by, but want some other opinions.

set of 9, nest together and the biggest one is about as big as I need.

Sur la Table has good products, albeit kind of pricey. As for whether to get that set or not, it depends on your needs. I use the large bowls for mixing and the very small bowls for mise en place.

do you have any links that could be a little less or about the same rice. the bowls would meet the needs,a nd would last for a long time.


 


but its 25 and i"m thinking that I prolly could get it a little less...but thts not that bad for that many bowls.

Crate and Barrel is an excellent suggestion, or you could see if there's a restaurant supply store nearby.

I know you enjoy cooking, and probably know exactly what you are looking for, but I always liked the metal set w/ plastic covers & hooks so you could hang them.  They even nested inside each other.  I also had glass/ceramic bowls, too, tho, so depending on what I was doing...  The metal made a nice impromtu double boiler.

The only problem with metal bowls is, sometimes you cant use them to cook in because they react. Some things you cook say you cant use a metal bowl
