I worked directly with the builder, sometimes the price is negotiable. Some builders will work with the buyer to drop the price. The buyer does some of the work such as painting or trim work, etc. That depends on the local codes and the builder.

I would try to negotiate with them for a lower price, maybe they will drop it some.
