2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter or margarine
1-3/4 cups sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1-1/4 cups milk
mix all together well, pour into a grease 13 X9, a round 8 inch or 9 inch greased pan....or cup cake pans.
great with just a dusting of powdered sugar, frosting of your choice, or a glazed (I use a orange glaze made with orange juice) or- with nothing.
