I wake up this fine morning, and the apartment office is totally engulfed in flames.
3 fire tucks later and almost an hour and half, it ois finally out.
so much for sleeping late on my b-day. But on the best note- no ones apartment went up and it wass the office and hot tub.
Im ure the comple cats that live under the tub are out.
but, I have had my apartment open at night for the past week. Last night I decided that it was too muggy to have open, so I turned on the AC and closed. Im so grateful I did.
the smoke came directly to my apartment being striaght across from the office, and I could watch every thing- with out going out.
I live out of houston but in the county, so yes they are volunteer FD. After its all said and done we had 5 trucks and no building left. They had to keep calling them here, and once after for a hot spot.
Yes Im ok. no residental housing was affected- only the manager office and thats totally gone, along with the mail boxes. The brick wall taht held up one side totally crubled as it burned, and the windows popped.

This is Houston......you wouldnt understand.
TC..if its the office that is totally fried,that means all records are gone, too. Prepare yourself for some hell...... unless they had all the tenant files saved on computer ...its up in smoke along with any proof of residency unless you have a copy of your lease.
