What is the connection between changing your clocks and replacing your smoke detector batteries?

Is it some sort of tradition that ensures that the batteries get remembered?

It's a sales pitch that the battery companies come up with .... throw away perfectly good batteries and replace them with new high dollar ones .....



By the time you figure out they were actually bad ... chances are you won't care ....

Sparky, it's just a common method of reminding people to check the batteries in their smoke detectors.

I hate losing an hour of sleep as well, I have to go through it next weekend I think, or it might be the weekend after.

I prefer it when the clocks go back.
