Blasted perverts...I swear.......


I just got 2 crank calls ...I anwsered both because it said private caller on my caller id and I just wanted to make sure it was not an important call from my neice or something.........we just got that Vonage thing to try it out and my husband says we received 2 anonymous caller calls earlier today......he can see who calls online now.


We have a temporary # that is accepting our forwarded call from Vonage...(its weird) and we cant tell wha number is getting the calls.


The idiot is talking in a real quiet voice...cant tell if its male or female. It doesnt matter. Hubby just told me to stop answering private caller id and let the machine get it. Fortunately, my voice is not on the message anymore.... pervert freak. So if it gets out of control, what do I do.....


GPOC...thats not you , is it?  I will surely kick your ass if it is.....homey dont play that and I am a mean Mexican chica when provoked. 


Who would do that to me....if it was random, how does the prick know to dial the same number more than once? I guess a cell phone shows dialed calls...my regular phone does too.


Darn it.......I am annoyed......

Yes...I dont like it when people are mean to me....I get fairly annoyed..not hurt....ticked off, really. there is no reason anybody should ever be mean to me unless they dont know me.


GPOC is different.....he is just picky me in jest. He better be......   


My husband is very sweet and called to check on me He told me each time an anonymous caller called over here and reminded me to look at the caller id every timethe phone rings. He also reminded me not to provoke them with  obscenities in English or Spanish.

hmm, im not to sure about the Vonage thing, i never tried it out. call Vonage and report the phone calls, tell them they were cranks calls sexual in nature. tell them that you want the phone number blocked. they will need the exact times that the calls were placed so they can bring up the records. tell Vonage that you want the number blocked. that way the person cant call you from that particular number. it will not however keep them from calling from different phones

The only problem is that I dont know the number...can they find that out? There is a record of an anonymous caller on our computer, but I dont think there is a number.


I find it rather odd that the person called me 2 times in a matter of minutes. I am not sure if the several anonymous callers listed on the Vonage site were the same caller, but if it is...thats spooky, if you ask me.


Well, I think a lot of things are spooky since I read so many spooky books!

The phone service will be able to trace the number most likely.


 


btw...my ex just called and said she would be at least a half hour late for me to pick up my boy...does a witch calling qualify for a crank call?

i'm sure that Vonage has a customer service number that you can call. call and find out if something on thier side can be done.

Fortunately, my husband is real good about record keeping and I can tell that this bugs him. He is just keeping his cool to keep me from freaking out.  He is probably already finding out what he can to prevent his from happening again. When I talked to him the second time, he had already noted (from our Vonage site) how many times we had gotten a call from an anonymous caller. He even saw the one I was calling him the second time about before I even called him. Thats kind of weird..I am glad I dont hide anything from him.

I almost did * 69 the freak, but didnt want to add more fuel to any fire. I am sure its just some harmless loser who is bored, but why take a chance?

I'm sure if it works that same way down there as it does up here. I also don't know if vonage has call tracking ability out side of their network.


So here are some things to try.


1. find out if there is a security tracking number you can dial that will flag that last number that called you amd will send the info to the vonage security dept. Up here you dial *whatever and the last caller is flagged then we (the police) can contact the security department and get the number and client info (I had a crank call file where a couple kids were talking dirty to the chief coroner!)


2. Findout if you can get an anon/private caller block on your phone. That way you won't have to be bothered with private cals at all.


3. Document the dates and times, etc.


4. If it persists get a police file started make sure the calls have been flagged through the phone company and provide the dates and times. If you do that then more than likely the police officer can call the idiot and tell them to F-off for you and your problem's solved. And at the very worst they end up charging the idiot.

Thanks SB...I can have the anonymous caller /private caller block on my phone. I just have to call the phone company to find out how to do it.


I dont think I will have to go through the wonderfully detailed method of finding this person who called. I dont think they will call again. They havent yet. 


I live in a fairly large city with a string of pedophiles and perverts walking freely....I am a walking target once I step outside. There is a pedophile residing 3 blocks from me. He is not considered one in his home country, but over here...you dont marry a 13 year old and expect to be thought of as normal. Go home if you want to practice marital customs that are illegal here.

there may be a connection between this being a NEW number to you/.


the last people could have had the same problem and ethier switched services or changed the number.


I had a friend that got a new number, unbeknown to her it was an old pizza hut number.


had that number changed in a matter of days. but since its of a sexual naural and all......it could be that it skids tring to be cute.


the whisle is a good Idea but I wouldnt be talking back sexy to them.

Styx, I'm sorry that you had to deal with that. I went through something similar once and it is very annoying and very unsettling. There's been some good advice here, between that and wha your husband is doing you should be able to get that stopped sooner rather than later.

I have not gotten anymore calls.....it had to be that blasted Vonage thing since I never got a crank call before. We have a temp number with Vonage and that may be the reason.
