I have a Lexmark 4 in 1...it copies/faxes/prints and scans..all in color. It cost $175, and I am thrilled with it...

Can you post a picture or a link to it Terra Celeste.

And BBB, I would go with the dell but the ink cartridge is expensive. At least where I was looking they are.

Probably you've made the right choice and I don't see any reasons to keep your old printer which doesn't work properly. However, you can give it a chance. I mean, you can try to buy a good cartridge here https://www.mrdepot.ca/products/hp-17a-toner Maybe the problem lays on the cartridge. At least, it is logical.
