What do you mean you weren't old enough? They allowed you to apply then granted you an oral interview when you didn't meet the age requirement.

Cd3kd,

I meant the age requirement, but that doesn't mean they are not looking for a specific age. In a way I know where there coming from. but I am a very responsibility when it comes to that kind of stuff. This was a max prison sitting with 1,400 beds.

I was going to use it as a starter job until I found something better.

Sorry Toby. your reasoning makes sense... even if it isnt the perfect job, at least it IS a job in your field, and you HAVE an income comming in, EXPERIENCE to add to your list, and you can continue looking for a better position. (keeping my fingers crossed for the next one to happen soon!!!)

I already applied for couple other jobs, thats all i can do. Just use the experience from the interviews to my advantage.

Keep it up and you'll find a spot. Most of the people I know on the job applied to several agencies at once. It's so subjective...who knows if your interview was with another panel you would have probably made it.

Don't worry cd3kd, I applied for 3 jobs today. Kansas city, Wisconsin, and Dallas Texas. I have found a new friend, Monster.com.
