Styx, are you looking for a buffet-type brunch or a plated menu?

Maybe I will just have hubby take us out.

But a sit down dinner for 2 adults and a child would be nice.

This is one of the few sections that has guidelines, and those posts were not appropriate here.

Hey styxx, I think Easter is a good holiday to abandon tradition. My mother and I usually change things up a little. This year we are doing shrimp alfredo pasta w/ pesto and some appetizers. Clams Casino, Oysters, and mussells. We are just ready for something different after the Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners which are usually the traditional items. I just noticed you said brunch. If it is just you hubby and the baby, I think going out is great. You don't have to do the cooking, and no messy clean-up. Alot of places will do a special dinner on easter so it is just as good in my eyes if not better. I hate to spend all day cooking a meal for it to be gone in 20 minutes.

We had a Texas Easter and ate brisket, sausage, and chopped  BBQ.

Not traditional and soooo good!

We ate breakfast at a friends house, had an Easter egg hunt..then went to church. After church, we all got together again and ate too much meat.

I am still full.

My wife and I ate out on Friday, Saturday & today and will probably eat out again tomorrow.

No sense in eating indoors nowadays, eating out is almost as cheap, and saves on the washing up. Besides, the easter weekend is a nice long break from work and should be treated as such with regards to not having to do much.

I am looking forward to eating at home again on Tuesday though when we both go back to work.

I had Easter dinner with friends who are Italian, and as is usually the case when I have dinner at their home, the meal lasted for hours. I probably won't have to eat again until Wednesday.
