That's an excellent suggestion, USofA. If there's a media "troubleshooter" or something like that in your community I'd threaten them with that, too. The important thing is to follow up, be a pest. Don't be someone who gets pissed for a moment, makes threats, then doesn't follow through all the way.

Ok it states plainly on my receipt that manufacturer defects are exchanged. I understand this. Butr why should I have to keep exchanging? Isn't there some point where they draw the line and make an exception? I feel I am being railroaded into keeping a product I am not satisfied with.
Because it cost them nothing to exchange, they return the defective product to the supplier and get a new pair in exchange. When you get your moeny back they loose their 50-100% markup on the item. In the long run, the big picture is that they loose much more when they piss poeple off.
I was once in a Chinese Resturaunt picking up a to go order. The cashier got into a pissing match with another customer who wanted a fortune cookie with her to go order
"NO FORTUNE COOKIE TO GO ORDER!"
over and over they went back and forth. A 2 cent fucking fortune cookie cost them how much business? Well the person I was with and I decided to leave our to go order sitting their unpaid for and haven't been back. We were sure to let them know why when we left.
Go to the store and demand to get your money back and don't let them push you around. They've sold you a defective product and need to stand by it. If the damned thing is falling apart that quickly (twice) there may be more to this story. I know the brand and they make a quality product if you can't get anywhere with the store call the manufacturer and get help from them. I think they are still located in Manhattan Beach, Ca.
Is this a reputable store because it sounds like you may have a counterfeit pair on your hands?

It is a reputable store as far as what they carry. The hag that runs it scares me. She could take me, I know it

Never thought of it that way. I am gonna deal tomorrow. I am wiped today. I have the corporate number. OMG i should have bought Walmart cheapies. I would have saved money and not be dealing with petty bullshit.
if you can't get anywhere with the store call the manufacturer and get help from them. I complained to them (Skechers) anonymously and they said to call their consumer affairs:
Thank you for your e-mail. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. For further assistance in this matter, please contact our Consumer Affairs Department directly at 1-800-746-3411 from 8am-1pm (Pacific Standard Time) Monday-Friday.
I know you'd rather go through the store but maybe as a last resort...

Thank you entre. I am going to use ALL my options. I am pissed and those responsible will know.
That actually made me smile which I thought not possible right now. Well update. I called sketchers, they told me that I could pay to ship them and they would exchange them. The corporate office will not return my call. I called the pres. of the company. He has yet to return my call. I think I am being impatiant.

Most companies will send you a return shipping label when their merchandise is defective. I'm glad you've shared this, because now I would never buy Skechers.
Did they tell you that you can at least exchange them for a different style?

Raise holy Hell, sister. I have a pair of Sketchers sandals I have owned for 5 years..going on 6. They are in fine condition ...all the stitching in place. I love them.
Demand your money back. They are making you keep a pair of defective shoes until the return grace period is up ...dont get them repaired..dont spend any more money,
I have a shoe thing.....if I pay more than 20 bucks for a pair of shoes...they better last more than a freakin' day. Yes, I own too many shoes...its a problem and something my husband and I fight over.....dont mess with my shoes or my handbags. I will hit you.

Ok corp office called me. I get a gift card. I fucking give up. I am filing a complaint with the BBB. These fucking assholes seem to think that 47$ is gonna break them, even though this store is supposedly a million dollar store. I will never shop there agin and i am cutting up their fucking gift card. and throwing it in her face. Then I am calling troubleshooter channel 5.
Well I climbed my way to the top of this company and it backfired. I was just informed over the telephone that since i was not satisfied with the offer of a gift card, that they could do nothing for me. I get no gift card, no refund, and no new shoes. I am at a loss and shocked at this outcome.
