Anyone ever take a class on it? Tonight at the gym I am on call for. I have decided to take the class that they offer. I will let you how it went. Yes, I've taken a few classes, and I want to take more. It's a lot of fun. You'll love it.

I thought about taking a class with my daughter, it sounded like fun, but I chickened out. Let me know what it was like BBB and I might just change my mind and give it a try. My daughter really wants to do it, but she wants me to go too....

And your point is???? Don't have one? Well then shut up and I'll give you one!
They're two different types of dance....rather than try to explain it myself, here are a couple of definitions:
Hula: A Polynesian dance characterized by undulating hips, miming movements of the arms and hands, and usually accompanied by rhythmic drumbeats and chants.
Belly dancing: A Middle Eastern dance in which the dancer makes sensuous movements of the hips and abdomen.

So basically(sp?) there is no difference, except where the dance is preformed?

It's not so much where the dance is performed, they evolved and are part of different cultural backgrounds. The hula is also often used to interpret and/or tell a story, and the movements are a bit different than bellydancing.

OK. Thanks for enlightening me on the differences! If you ask me, they are both sensual dances!
