speedy supper in a skillet


1 to 1.5 LBs of ground beef


1 small onion or 1/2 of a med onion chopped (you can use peppers if you want also)


11/2 teaspoon of each basil, oregano, parsley


(or 2 tablespoons of itaian spices)


2tablespoons (enough to cover the meat) worshisre sauce


1 can (15 oz) stewed tomatos


1 cup pasta (macaroni or shells)


1.5 cups water


cook onions in a little oil untill they start sweating and turning bwon, add meat. while browning put the worshisre over it along with a the seasons and a little salt and pepper if you want.


 


Add the tomatos..juice and all, cover with the pasta and the water. cover and cook till pasta is done aldente.


serve and enjoy.


(my mom started making this when I was 6. I make it alot because its good, fast and easy.left overs are great)


I have stirred in peas, mushrooms corn and other veggies.I also have put cheese on top at times.


 to spice it up, use a cerole seasons and or  rotel tomatos instead.

That sounds like what my Mom used to call refrigerator goulash, Meat, Pasta, veggies and whatever was in the refrigerator that night!  Never the same twice but always delicious!  This one is going in my cook book!  Thanks TC!
