havent weighed her since the last vet visit..She was 19lbs then

and she is still on purina puppy chow, I have Iams to switch her over to, but havent made the gradual switch yet

i suggest switching over to a good quality Adult formula such as Iams.

german shepards grow quickly...sometimes a little too fast with a puppy formula. sometimes a fast growth will affect german shepards years on down the road with a genitic ailment that is common with german shepards called Hip Dysplasia


Hip Dysplasia- Abnormal devolopment of the hip joint in which the ball and socket do not make a snug fit, often resulting in debilitating lamness due to arthritic changes
