Bread

Hey I was curious when you went to NO, what did it look like?

Was there any ports or anything left?

It looked a lot better than I imagined it would look. We drove on the Causeway and that was just fine. There is a point on the Causeway where you can see the skyline and the Superdome. I was expecting it to be trashed, but it wasnt.  While its not all of NO, they are symbols that let you know you are getting close.

I didnt take the full tour, but saw some neighborhoods that were damaged ...trees ripped up from the roots, all the houses had water lines and X's spray painted on the with the number of people found.....or not found. Even the cars by the homes had spray paint marks on them. The insides of most homes looked like they had been ripped apart by a twister or something......that was from the rushing water, I am told. It was sad to see....but we didnt go to the lower ward areas where its worse, I hear. I saw a lot of Fema trailers and even tents for people who have nowhere to go or want to be close to what exists of their homes.

I only saw the port area around the causeway coming from the Northshore area.....where my in-laws are. There is still some clean-up going on there.....
