Wow my younger sister tried a temper tantrum like that once!  Mom walked out of the store without saying a word.  It took her about 2 minutes to realize Mom wasnt responding and came out to the car where we were waiting, then got a spanking and set in the car.  She never did it again!  Mom had to go back into the store and apologize to the owner. It was a small town drug store and my sister had wanted a stuffed animal in the boutique section, way overpriced for a cheap item!
