Well its a Goodbye

Well everyone, I will be taking off on Sunday night staying in a hotel and leaving Monday for basic training. Although I am not leaving til Sunday I will be without access to a computer starting Sat. So if you have any tips, suggested or good luck cheers send them this way ASAP.  Remember this, when your typing on here or drinking a beer I will be doing push ups or running. So just be thankful that you can enjoy your cold beer or giving each other shit on here. Talk to you soon.

Lackland AFB is good place.  Good training, nice billeting. Unfortunately, you will be in SA at the hottest time of year!!  Yikes, hope you like humidity! Be sure to get to the River Walk in SA if you have the chance. There is also a Sea World and Six Flags in SA to help kill some time if you have the chance. Stay out of the Eastside of SA, it is ghetto and crack dens all the way! Don't get any goofey ideas about going to Nueva Larado, Mexico. They have horrible crime rates, drug wars, kid nappings.... it is just a mess down there anymore. Corpus Christie is only about 2 hours from SA, and South Padre Island is about 3 hours. Both are good places to kill a weekend and get some fun in the sun. Rental car companies cater to the military recruits, so that wouldn't be an issue if you wanted to rent a car, and Yellow Cab in SA in resonable if you get a couple buddies to go in with you.

Oh yeah, there is also SchliterBahn, the largest water park in the U.S. up in New Braunfels, about 1/2 north of San Antonio. It is pretty cool, you can spend all day there and not get sun burned because it is all under huge shade trees and dumps into/uses river water from the Comal River.

 Yes, San Antonio is hotter than Us of A's bunghole at wet jockey's night at The Ride 'Em all night long Strip Saloon for Nancy boys. Use sunscreen  and drink lots of water. The water is safe to drink in most places, but I would bottle water it if you arent sure.


Menudo is soup with cow intestines...barbacoa is cow cheek (face)...flour tortillas (tortillas de harina) are manna from heaven if prepared properly. Tamales are, as well. Ask  for any entree you order at a Mexican restaraunt...with the salsa on the side so you can test it first.  Any of the Pappa's restaurants are good...Pappadeaux being my favorite.


The Riverwalk is fun, Padre is 3 and a 1/2 hours away...skip Nuevo Laredo and Matamoros....you are fresh gringo meat over there. Corpus blows these days from what I hear. Port Aransas is better ...rumor has it. Texas State is not far from you and there is a River there that a lot of pretty college ladies go rafting on...you'd like that.


  Austin is and hour and a half away and I could meet you for coffee and a slap upside your cute little head if you are fresh with me. There is a nude beach down the road from me and you could meet all the  lovely liberal gals of Austin...they shoot their calendar over there..hairy pits and all. I will let you do that alone.


Enjoy some good Mexican food and Ritas. I will let you know when I am in S.A. visiting my folks......Godspeed, kiddo.
