Where to go????

Well it's clear that Georgia is no longer the place for me .....    so Where to go????

No matter what state I decide on...   the ATA will be pushing to expand their ranks by forcing me to join them or loose my privilege to drive...

Is their any place left in America where a man can still roam free????

Any one know a town needing a local nut...   I'll be happy to change my name to Ernest T. Bass

Sorry to disagree with you on this but I think that California already has enough fruits and nuts. Just look at their governor

Bless You.....

No way on California...     my left mind could never stand the strain.....

Maybe twenty five years of truck driving is enough....    Three accidents caused by four wheelers, And millions of safe miles driven is not what is needed around here.  The  government is getting just like the big companies....   When the driver gets smart....   get rid of him and replace him with a new young and stupid  warm body...   I'm way to smart to fall for their BS.   Thats why I have to own my own rig.

A lot of the old timers are just giving up....    Maybe it's time for me to bow to the Mexican driver that are fixing to invade our highways

Face it Straight, you are a rare thing in America, someone who remembers "freedom" and still believes in it. Someone who sees through the government's smoke screens and bullshit lines of "it's for your safety". It's all subliminal programming buddy!!! What they are really saying is give us your freedoms so we can control your fucking lives 100%!

Too many people have forgotten what it was like before we let the government control every aspect of our lives from raising our kids to walking our fucking dog in public! Hell, now they can even tell us what kind of dogs we can't have!!!!

All I can say is keep yelling, keep fighting! Without truckers this country would crumble!! Talk to others, keep reminding the ones who want to give up why they became truckers to begin with and the "power" they really have over this country's economy!

LOL, when you put it like that, I see your point.

But, you definately seem to enjoy trucking and the freedom of the road? (or what used to be freedom) Plus you have a lot of $$$$$$ invested in that semi I am sure? I have no clue what the selling market is on a rig, but I am sure it is not close to the cost or actual value?

Sorry Straight, I wasn't tryin to mess with your vision, really. I just think before you cash in, cause a hell of a noise so they will not soon forget you were there for their benefit, not as their personal political agenda! Give them some shit, truckers have the upper hand on this country!

Oh your fine Kat....   I'm just tired and feeling crappy about life in general right now...   you have helped allot just sounding out some ideas....    You can tell a really stupid one just about the time you say it...   thanks...

I do miss the south west though...   I don't know why such large barren stretches of wide open spaces do it for me,   but they do.....   I thinks it's just the fact that the next human is hundreds of miles aways is just comforting to me....   weird ....

Not at all weird. I grew up on an 88 acre farm that sat just over a mile off the road and many miles from a city, I love wide open spaces and I loath people in my airspace!

LOL, Oh yes, I understand. I live outside of town set back from the road and surrounded by woods. I have a 5 foot fence surrounding my property (to keep the horse safe of course, has nothing to do with keeping people out....). I go to work and go home and I make side trips when necessary. I'm not a hermit or anything, I just enjoy the quiet and lack of humans consuming my oxygen!

BTW, how's Copycat do when he(?) isn't on the road? I imagine after a while of being a driving companion, it is a bit strange for him not to be in the rig?

Come to California and drive your truck into the Capital building, that should make for great fun... oh, someone already did that and destroyed one family run company.
