Lol -- I'm losing to you, & everyone else!  It's a sad, sad day.  I could blame it on the fact that I've never seen the L word (and half of those others).  Or I could just blame it on the fact that my mind is elsewhere.

I had so many questions based on shows or movies that I haven't watched. They're worse than the sports questions.

I know!  Where are the questions like

1) What is the term for the Indian custom of the widow throwing herself upon her late husband's funeral pyre?

or

2) What disease may cause an individual to blurt vile curses & other nonsensical meanderings?

But nooooooooo, how many people did so-and-so on The L Word have sex w/?  Well, how the heck do I know?  Not even a question on shows I have seen, like Xiao Lin Showdown, or Ben 10.  Not that I could answer those, either.

Hmm, "sutte" (I'm not sure of the spelling but I won't cheat and look it up), and Tourette's syndrome?

Hey, maybe we should have our own trivia game, haha.

This is an easy one: What was the purpose of the firemen in Fahrenheit 451?

And another: In whose novel existed the Morlocks and the Eloi? As a bonus, what was the dynamic of the relationship between them?

Yes! (suttee) & yes!  I'm so proud...

Well you know what they say about firemen - arsonists at heart.  ; )  But I can barely bring myself to speak of it - OH THE HORROR - as they set the books ON fire.

Thinking of Fahrenheit 451, could you memorize a book word for word? I don't think that I could.

No, bits of them, perhaps, but I can't even memorize an entire poem.

Sorry - missed this part.  Wells, The Island of Doctor Moreau - Eloi were rich, pampered & lived above ground, served by the Morlocks who lived underground, tended machinery, and, if I remember correctly, had an interesting diet.

Correct me if I'm wrong----  I thought that the Morlocks and Eloi were in "The Time Machine". "The Island of Doctor Moreau" was about animals turned into "humans".

Woodbutcher is absolutely correct!  So many books, so little memory...

I read The Island of Doctor Moreau when i was like 12. It was one of my first novels. I was engrossed at that age, but now it takes more to hold my attention. Say something smart photo, and it is smackdown time.

My emoticon will be joining later.
