grandma used to make crispy fried things sprinkled with powedersugar.  I have the irons but no recipie?  I dont even know what these are called.  you dip the irons in hot oil, then into the batter, then back into the oil and the result is a light crispy thing????  


Anyone have a recipe for the batter?
