My cat had that problem.  It was so bad there would be drops of blood all over the bathroom floor.  She doesn´t have diabetes, but she does have other serious health issues. 

In her case it was Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and it cleared up with some Metamucil.

He is going to be fine He has a bladder infection, the blood in the stool was a secondary infection attepting to spread.

 

He will get about 10 days of antibiatoics and he had 103 fever.

I am glad to hear that it was not something serious.  You make sure you give him his meds  as the doc said to, and make sure you give him all of it. 

They say that you should take all of the antibiotics that a doc subscribes even when you are feeling better and/or there are no symptoms anymore.

 

I'm glad that he is going to be okay.  Good luck with giving him his medicine, it can be lots of fun, you have to be very brave to do it, and you have to love them a lot.  They always seem to know that something is in there, at least mine did and he would not eat it.  I still have scars from the last time I had to medicate one of mine, but he got his medicine.

I am glad to hear that Footsie is recovering.  He looks as though he would fit right in with our kitty group.  Most of our cats are black and white.  4 are black and white, 1 is solid black, 1 is gray and white, and 1 is pastel calico! 

Oh yeah and Mom's cat is solid gray!  We tend to forget about her because she doesn't come out of Mom's room.

Yeah we tried to, but the pastel calico and the gray and white were such helpless little things when we found them.  They are brother and sister and were abandoned we bottle fed them for a while and after that we just had to keep them. 

We have a joke about the color of our cats!  We compare them to police vehicles!  We have the 2 big boys so they are SUV units, then there are the 2 smaller black and white cats so they are regular cruisers, then the gray and white and the calico are unmarked cars, and the little solid black is a motorcycle unit!   I came up with this a while back when all the cats were laying about and blocking the hallway.  It really looked like a police road block, lol!
