I'm bringing this back as I've found few pictures that sum up the emotions as this one. I post this in honor of all of our veterans and active military personnel and those men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom.
The occasion of this photograph was a Veterans Day Commemoration at Dallas City Hall on 11 November 2004. The veteran pictured is Houston James, a survivor of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941, and the Marine is Staff Sgt. Mark Graunke Jr., a member of an ordnance-disposal team who lost his left hand, one leg, and an eye while defusing a bomb in Iraq in July 2003.

yea, that picture was taken right before they took the older guys right to drive because he's dangerous, and then wrote everyone else a ticket for parking in the other guys handicapped spots!. But your right, the flag is very bright in the background!
To all who have, are, and will serve... thankyou. I truly wish I could have been there, done that at your side. A medical condition wrecked any chances of experiencing what you have lived. All I can offer is my heartfelt gratitude. God Bless.
