You see, in my opinion, you have a dilemma. With a Christian raising you are taught, (learned) to respect people in a unique way. Not to judge, but yet judge all things for what they are. On top of that, you have “been shown” the “wrongs” in your own life and thus know that everyone has them and therefore, not to be quick to jump on anyone’s shit for anything. (Thus some of the flower child shit). Then on top of that, you are force to mingle with people that don’t hold a set of morals as dear as you do, so you have had to make a choice. Either turn a cheek, and just brush off the wrongs you see in others, or take and seriously and become the self-righteous prick which would only result in a bitter loneliness and separation from the world. (Which, oddly enough, is biblical).

The part that gets hard is when you adopt this pattern and personal things come up where you are almost forced to make a stand. Then you are in fear of being a hypocrite. Even though, that’s not what it is. You want to love everyone and get along even though you may not accept who and what he or she is.

THEN, I suspect, you come from a political conservative background as well. This causes even more,,,,, complications. Conservatives are “hard-core” in nature, but yet use the moral background you stand on. (Which can and will cause problems all in itself). And with this background the “liberal” thinking is just a bunch of brew-haha. Which that pot is full of welfare, gays, self-righteous baby killers, and a slew of other shit that is only getting worse. So, what does one do?

It is also my opinion that many of TODAYS beliefs of what a moral nature is,,, is wrong. People like yourself believe that God is a all loving, wants to help being that is sitting up there hoping everyone will turn to the “right”. Though this may be true, it is become my understanding that are other variables that make the hole process work, and make sense. But, it is harsh, and full of truth. And that is not politically correct anymore. But in fact it is reality. And “somehow” the mainstream religious right have taken that harshness and truth and turned it into self-righteous horseshit, rather then a true understanding of the “design”, so to speak.

You want proof? Let me put it in your language. Bible says test all things. So when you look as something and you feel that flower power coming out, ask yourself, who is benefiting by what I am thinking, or feeling. And try to look at it from all angles.!

In short, though you are basing your make-up on the moral structure, and conservative views, I will go as far as to say, you have been deceived into believing the best course of action is always the “loving one.” (By mans definition) And thus, you have actually taken on a liberal view with the “end result”.

Very True! But there are details, and there are principles. Principles are hard to live by because of the details. However, overall understanding of "things" is much easier if you look at the principles of "things" FIRST, rather then the details of it.
