The pages did not load .....

Heres how I buy for IO .....

Look for program cars .....    cars/SUV that execs and such have driven ....    12 to 16,000 miles on them .....   priced about 2/3rds original sticker price ...

Put the extended warranty on them ....  All that you can .... free towing and a loaner/rental car while yours is being fixed ...

When IO stayed home ....  I always felt she was taken care of if something happened

I've got a Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer but I am its second owner. I love having my truck (SUV). I wouldn't trade it in for anything else.

Try looking for the dealer cars/low milage, bought my 98 Explorer in 99, only had a little over 1000 miles on it, was still new.  Still drivng it, was a big change after all those years of mustangs.  Just keep looking, try not to get into a hurry.  And if you can it does help to have a male with you, I hated to say that but I think it is true.

I wouldn't recommend it for highway/city driving ....    It's like over 25 years old ....

Besides  ....not sure you would like the gas mileage

But for local around town ...  haul firewood ...go hunting ...  truck ...   It would be awesome ...    As for problems ...  none really ....   Windshield wipers have a short in the switch and that needs replacing .....  and if you want a speedometer to work  ....  needs a cable ....   I never drove it fast enough to worry about it

All I ever used it for was to haul a few truck parts ....   Trash to the dump ....   stuff like that .....  If I had not bought the new one ...   no way would I sell it ...  and to be honest about it ....  I'm asking 2k hoping no one will buy it ...

TC I know someone who has a Ford Escape. She bought it new last year. She loves it. Its pretty fun to ride around in. Its very roomy too, something I didnt think it would be based on its size.

Yea thats sounds good ....   Just weld a big truck bumper on front and you will be ready to go ....

Actually the reason I got the G6 was for the room on the inside ....   For a small car ...  it had lots of room ...

I would tend to agree with SU, program vehicles have the price advantage. If you look at these, stay away from the ones that have been sold or leased. Look for the vehicles that were used by dealership employees--salespeople and management. These were not sold and still have the FULL factory warranty.

If you are looking at used vehicles, look for those with the highest crash-test ratings, and if the price permits, the lowest mileage--under 12,000 per year is best.

Let me know if you need any info or help.

Hi TC ...

I am still driving the program car that SU got me in 1995 ... it is a 1994 T-bird ... and I still do not want to trade it in or swap it for another car ... it still looks good and runs fine ...

SU did have it painted and a little body work done on it from where I hit the deer last year ... and we have done the normal tune up's and breaks and stuff ... but over all it is still "My Baby" and I do not want to trade it ...

The program car's are a good buy if you find the right one you like ... and I would suggest getting the extended warranty ...
