I don't know anything about Ford Escapes, but I'm going to tell you honestly, TC, if you hit a stopped car at 60 mph, and walked away uninjured, you seriously need to think about another Honda.
Ford Escapes are just a shortened Ford Explorer. Only 2 doors instead of 4.
Like I said, if you really want a SUV, Honda has a few. But Accords are nice, too. Just depends on what you want and will be happy with.

Ford Escapes comes in as a 4 door model, no 2 door models available. maybe you had the Explorer Sport mistakend for the Escape. but aside from that. the Escapre is a decent small sized SUV if you ask me
My aunt has a Ford Escape and she's very happy with it and has had no problems in the two years she's had it. I considered it myself when I was looking and will consider it again when I get rid of my car this year.
On the other hand, to expand a bit on what Foxfyre said, my sister had either a Honda Accord or Civic and it was hit broadside by someone running a red light last summer. The car was a mess and totaled out, but she emerged with just a few bruises. The car did what it was supposed to do, protect her.

yea, Hondas. I keep hearing that, and I was in an accord. Therefore it was a safe car to. I know that they are very safe and score very high in the consumer ratings. personlly, I KNOW if I was an anything smaller...........

I drive a ford almost every day. I have to admit they have really impressed me with the beatings, and abuse they take. As long as you keep the maintenence up they seem to be hard to beat.
I will second that. For those who are misinformed Ford stands for First On Race Day, not Found On Road Dead or Fouled Over Rebuilt Dodge or Fix Or Repair Daily.

I have a Ford Escape and I have not had any problems with it. It has plenty of room, we have put things in it we thought would not fit. But my back windows have nose prints and dried slobber from take my dogs with me......
